GUO PEI (Spring / 2012)
As if they were murals, this great Haute Couture artist was able to capture through her embroidery the archived drawings of the St. Gallen Cathedral from the 18th century in Switzerland. With an "relief effect" achieved by multilayers of a golden dental floss, an exquisite work that took him two years to prepare this collection of 19 dresses of pure craftsmanship. For this artist "More is more." These sculpturally shaped epic ladies represented medieval queens of great baroque abundance.
If something is very clear, it is that GUO PEI's work represents HAUTE COUTURE at its best. Pure art that shines. Martin Coronel
